This was a very special wedding for me – I have known Laura for almost 10 years. She and her husband Cory have been married over 5 years (their actual anniversary is in February) and to mark the occasion, they decided have a vow renewal ceremony… geek style! They are both big fans of Doctor Who and wanted to add special details to their day. All the wedding music was orchestral versions from the show, the men wore bow-ties (bow-ties are cool), and Laura wore shoes (hand painted by Cory!) that looked like the Van Gogh painting of the TARDIS exploding. I’d like to say that Laura dyed her hair to match Amy’s… but she has had red hair for many years! Congrats on 5 wonderful years, two extra special kiddos and one beautiful family. Love you guys!

So much fun! These two are adorable (Sorry Matt!) and I so enjoyed our shoot. We started at the old Courthouseon the square in Denton and finished at the fabulous Beth Marie’s! YUM! Congrats you two and I CAN’T WAIT until next year!!

Oh man, such an awesome wedding. I’ve known Dennis and his family for as long as I have lived in Texas (almost 20 years!). Skye and Dennis’s rock and roll romance has endured some crazy things, but one thing has remained constant: their devotion to one another. I love they way they look at each other – like no one in the room is there but them. Congrats you guys!

I am so happy for Kim and Tyler. I love their love for one another. Just look at the way Tyler looks at his bride: total devotion, respect, and compassion. Look at the way Kim looks at her groom: admiration, dedication and remembrance of all kinds of memories. Their love story is one that I believe will go on. I hope to get a call from them many more times as their family grows!

Oh how I love this little girl! So full of energy and spunk, she was an absolute blast to photograph. Her mom and I went to high school together and recently reconnected. Maddie’s dad is a Marine and has been begging for recent pictures of her. If there is anything I am a sucker for, it is a parent in the military (my grandfather and aunt were both in the Air Force). We went to Veteran’s Park in Arlington and had a grand time with balloons and bubbles. Enjoy!

Kim and Tyler got married yesterday, so I can finally share Kim’s Bridal Portraits! I’ve been dying to show these since May. Kim is such a beautiful person, inside and out, and I am so happy for Kim and Tyler.

Kim, her mom, and two friends met me in Blue Ridge on a beautiful day in May in the height of allergy season. I had just gotten back from Ohio the day before (where it was rainy and cool and decidedly NOT full of allergens). I was so looking forward to this shoot and had forgotten all about Texas allergies and medicine of any kind, even though I knew we planned to shoot in the middle of a field. The moment I stepped into the field I knew I was in trouble. I started sneezing and my eyes started watering. By the end of the session, my right eye was swollen shut. But I didn’t care! I was having so much fun with Kim and the pictures were so worth it! I kept telling Kim not to worry because it was worth every sneeze.

Halfway through the session a butterfly came out of nowhere and landed on Kim’s shoulder. She was able to turn without it flying away and I got some amazing shots. Once I got enough, it flitted away, as if to pass a message along to Kim, stay for some pictures, and then leave to spread some more joy. It was a very special moment for Kim and her mom.

Congratulations again to Kim and Tyler! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to share the fabulous wedding pictures.

This cutie is Baby Zachary, or Z-Rod, as his dad calls him! I’ve known Emily for almost 10 years. I was so happy to photograph her wedding and was ecstatic when she announced she was pregnant. Zach was an absolute champ for these pictures – barely fussed, slept so well and just a happy baby. Welcome to the world! Can’t wait to watch you grow!
